A Warm Welcome

A Note to All Those Here:

I am not sure how you found this, if you went looking for it, or if it found you in some way.  However it be that you came across this little online journal, I do believe greatly it was for some reason.  You were meant to read what I have to say, for some reason.

That being said, whether you love or hate it, (though I hope you love it) I hope you take something from it.  I hope my thoughts encourage you to reflect and contemplate.  If you need comfort some days, I hope this blog serves as the virtual equivalent of a hug, or the feeling of holding a warm mug coffee on a Sunday morning, curled up with a blanket. Other days, I hope you find this to be a safe haven, a place to escape your own thoughts and world and enter into mine, even if just for a few minutes as you experience a new perspective.  My ultimate dream is that this blog inspires, that it revives you.  It may just be for a day, an hour, or minute, but even if just encourages one of you to rethink something, refocus, reflect, causes you to contemplate, to create, express and explore, to WRITE.  I think inspiration is one of the ultimate, driving forces in this world, and I would be honored to think that as an outcome of one these pieces.

I should mention why I am making this blog.  This blog will serve a very deliberate purpose.  Last year, in a college writing course, there was big a focus on taking ownership of your writing.  The idea that sharing writing, forced you to be proud of it; you did this, you created this, you are responsible for it.  As I wish this blog to empower you in some way, I wish it also to empower myself.  I think as human beings living in a chaotic world, having chaotic lives, we need outlets.  We need places to ourselves and to places to learn to love ourselves.  That is what this blog will be for me: an outlet, serving as place to drain the thoughts over spilling out of my packed life and packed head.

Well, here it goes.  Here is a very average, online, written documentary of my thoughts, stories, memories, and everything in between.  Enjoy.

J
